World Children’s Day is UNICEF’s flagship global day of action for children, by children. Each year on this day, UNICEF advocates, educates and raises funds for the most pressing issues facing children — such as COVID-19.

A cultural milestone like Opill® deserves a cultural moment. In forging a brand partnership, our objective was to normalize and destigmatize birth control access by reframing it as an empowered act of self-care, not a clinical errand. We also wanted to keep expanding awareness of Opill on social more than two years after FDA approval.

The late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was adored by family, friends and a large community of supporters. Following her passing in 2020, several of Justice Ginsburg’s personal items were donated to SOS Children’s Villages, an international nonprofit dedicated to the care of vulnerable children and families. 

UNICEF and LEGO have been partners in play since 2015. During that time, UNICEF’s partnership with both the LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation has driven monumental social change through country programs, global advocacy, research and the Playful Parenting and Learning Through Play initiatives.
