RED HOT TAKE: CREATORS ARE THE NEW PERFORMANCE CHANNEL

by Nadiri Dorsey, Associate VP of Influencer, HAVAS Red U.S.

Nadiri Dorsey recently spent a day at Meta’s Creator Partner Summit — and came back with a clear message for our clients: the creator economy just grew up.

The headline from Meta wasn’t about follower counts or aesthetics. It was about architecture. Creators are no longer a brand-awareness add-on sitting alongside a paid media plan. They’re becoming the engine that powers it.

Here’s what that means in practice.

Trust is the scarce asset — and creators own it.

As AI makes polished content easier and cheaper to produce, the thing audiences can’t manufacture is credibility. Creator recommendations now influence roughly half of all purchases, and that influence is even stronger with Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Brands that treat creators as a casting exercise are leaving their most persuasive asset on the table.

Organic and paid aren’t separate anymore.

About 60% of partnership ad revenue on Meta starts as an organic creator post that gets boosted. That single stat should change how every creator agreement gets written. Securing partnership ad permissions upfront — before a post goes live — is the difference between a content win and a content and performance win. The agencies still treating these as two separate workflows are going to feel that gap.

Facebook belongs in the plan.

Partnership ads and creator tools now run across Facebook and Instagram together, and running both platforms consistently outperforms Instagram alone. If Facebook isn’t in your creator strategy, you’re leaving reach and results behind.

AI-managed campaigns are almost here.

Meta’s Ads MCP — now in open beta — lets AI assistants manage campaigns through plain-language requests, with human approval built in and budget guardrails enforced at the server level. This isn’t vaporware. It’s the beginning of a real workflow shift, and the agencies that get familiar with it now will have a meaningful head start.

The opportunity for our clients is a more integrated program: creator strategy, organic content, and paid activation working together as one system rather than three separate line items. That’s a clearer story from social to sales — and a harder one for any competitor running the old playbook to match.
